Place a cooking pan containing food or water on the burner.

Locate the four burner knobs on the stove's front. The knobs are below the burners and right above the oven's door. Each knob corresponds to a certain burner. The far right knob controls the back right burner. The knob to the middle right controls the front burner on the right side. The knob in the middle left controls the burner in the front left, and the far left knob controls the back left burner.

Turn the corresponding knob on the back of the Frigidaire ES340 counterclockwise, away from the “Off” position.

Adjust the flame on the burner by turning the knob until you reach the desired flame height. The burners can cook on low, medium and high heat.

Tips & Warnings

The flame should be just touching the outer edges of the pan or pot. If the flames are coming over the side of the pan, turn the knob clockwise to lower the flames.
